Skiing Mont Tremblant

Tremblant
Probably the first worthwhile email I ever received from Continental Airlines - announcing a new non-stop service between Newark and Mont Tremblant in Quebec. Quickly cashed in some airmiles and we headed up for what turns out to be the very frozen north.

cold
It wasn't just cold. It was wifely rage-inducing cold, as in, "You think it's cold outside, just wait till we get home mister" cold. -33°C at the top of the mountain, -37 °C down in the village. I guess hell was freezing over.

conditions
The conditions were spectacular though.

village
The village attractive, from our balcony. And there was even an international aerial competition on.

alien
R. on the other hand had morphed into new characters. Such as this "Take Me To Your Leader" type alien.

candy
Turns out aliens are interested in maple taffy.

sake
Some sake helped deal with the cold. As did some extra strong beer.

snowmobiling
Lots of fun in Tremblant - night snow tubing was a lot of fun (though breathtakingly cold - temperature dropped at night). Which left us to worry about the snowmobiling, but the suits were incredibly warm, and the handles are heated! They need this sort of thing on my Vespa.

tremblant
Will definitely come back to Tremblant, will just have to prepare a bit better. Such as all-over body warmers.
